South Main Street Improvement project

There will be a Public Meeting on January 31st. 7:00 p.m. at City Council
Chambers to unveil the plans for the South Main Street Improvement project.

Due to the lack of quorum at the December 20th Council Meeting, a Special Meeting has been set for
Tuesday, December 30th 2011 at 7:00pm to continue the agenda from the 20th.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Council for the City of Columbiana will hold a Public Hearing at 7:15PM Tuesday
November 1, 2011 in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 28 West Friend Street,
Columbiana, Ohio 44408 to consider establishment of a C-4 Zoning District as
recommended by the Columbiana Planning Commission for an annexed territory of
56.950 acres from Beaver Township to the City of Columbiana.
The above acreage is known as Lakefront Golf Course and Restaurant, 14550 South
Avenue, Columbiana, Ohio 44408.

Any interested person shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard at said Public Hearing.
The text of City Ordinance 11-0-2663 together with the map of said 56.950 acres and the
recommendation of City Planning Commission are on file and available for public
examination at the office of the City Manager.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Columbiana City Council will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30PM Tuesday November 1.
2011 in Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 28 West Friend Street, Columbiana,
Ohio 44408 to consider revisions of Chapter 1294 and Chapter 1262.05 (c) from the
Planning & Zoning Code as recommended by the Columbiana City Planning
Commission. Chapter 1294 which regulates signs and Chapter 1262.05(c) which
regulates sign fees have been revised. Copies of the revisions are on file and available
for public examination at the office of the City Manager in said Municipal Building.
Interested persons shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard at said Public Hearing.

Public Hearing

A public hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday September 20th at 7:15pm.
The Public Hearing will be for the annexation of  17 acres of commercial property into the city
along State Route 14.

March 28, 2011

Over the next few months, to update the city mapping, crews will begin locating individual curb and valve boxes, sanitary manhole lids, and storm water drain grates and lids to each address in the northwest section of the city. This area will include from West Park Avenue to the north, from North Main Street to the west and north of State Route 14. Blue and green flags and paint will be used to mark these appearances for water, sanitary and storm sewers for exact location with a Global Positioning System(GPS) locator. Some excavation may be necessary in individual cases to expose these connections for precise location. Any questions regarding this locating project may be directed to city hall (330)482-2484.
