South Main Street will be closed from Railroad Street to the square starting the
morning of Wednesday, May 29, 2013 and should be back open by the morning of
Friday, May 31, 2013. The road will be closed for Road Grinding.

Annual parade honoring local veterans and remembering those who have sacrificed their lives for our country. 

Parade route is from the Square,  East on East Park Ave and ending in the Columbiana Cemetery. At the conclusion of the parade, American Legion Post #290 will conduct a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial in the center of the Cemetery.

2013 Schedule of Events
Area merchants will be hosting open houses and sidewalk sales.  Street vendors will be set up along Main Street selling crafts, food, and other items.  Demonstrations by area quilters will take place at the French Market with the City participating in an “Airing of the Quilts.”  Located at 39 Cherry Street The First Christian Church is hosting a quilt show with over 70 quilts on display.  Visitors between 10am and 4pm Friday and 10am to 3pm Saturday will be treated to free admission. French Market Application. The Women’s Club will be hosting a Box Lunch from 11 to 2pm both days.  A local Herb Club will be creating the meals as well as hosting a herb sale at the Women’s Club.  The herb sale will be both days 10am to 3pm.  A “Discover Columbiana” raffle is taking place with tickets costing $5.00 and limited to 500.  The prize package is worth over $1,000. The package includes one night accommodations for two at the Columbiana Inn Bed & Breakfast, 18 Holes of golf at The Links at Firestone Farms, Dutch Village Inn Dinner Theatre Gift Certificate, Sunday Brunch for two at the Links Banquet Center, plus gift certificates from 26 other locations within the City.  Drawing will be held Monday, May 7th.  Tickets are available at area merchants now and throughout the Springtime weekend.

Annual clean up days for the City of Columbiana residents will be held on
August 5th- August 9th 2013

Rules for Town Clean Up:
No garbage, limbs, ashes, batteries, tires, building materials, oil, or paint.

Also only one of each type of appliance is allowed and they must be Freon free!

Update as of August 6th 2012 With the City wide clean up this week some clarification needs made as to
what the city crews are prohibited in picking up, including: TV sets and computer monitors or towers, wet paint, car batteries and any appliances with freon (eg:refridgerators, air conditioners and de-humidifiers). The city will pick up car tires after the trash has been removed.

All items shall be placed at the curb or the edge of the street by the morning of August 5th!

The First United Methodist Church (210 S. Main) will still be holding trunk or treat tonight from 5~7. It will be moved inside to the fellowship hall. We welcome you to bring your family in to warm up. We have games, refreshments, a door prize, and of course a ton of candy! Bring the kids to this safe, fun, and weather~free event! We hope to see everyone there!

CNC (Columbiana Nazarene Church) will still be holding its annual “Trunk of
Treats” event this Wednesday, Oct 31, from 5 to 7 PM. Do to the weather
conditions the event will be held inside their worship center with plenty of
treats for everyone. In addition to many candy givers the CNC will be
providing FREE hotdogs, hot chocolate, coffee, hot cider and fresh made
donuts! CNC is asking that in response to the many victims and suffering
caused by hurricane Sandy, that attendees bring a non perishable food item
to be distributed as needed to those in need in the wake of the storm. For

Trick or Treat will be held in the City of Columbiana from 5-7pm on Halloween Night.

Residents wishing to participate and pass out candy should turn on their porch lights to indicate their participation.

Kids and families collecting candy should only go to homes who have turned their porch lights on indicating participation.
